Straws made from ワンダーカジノ Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet™ to be launched in DAISO 100-yen shops

カジノシークレット (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Minoru Tanaka) announced that straws made from KANEKA Biodegradable Polymer Green Planet™ (referred to below as "Green Planet™") will be launched in DAISO 100-yen shops operated by Daiso Industries Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture; President: Seiji Yano). This environmentally friendly products will be sequentially available in 2,500 stores from mid-January.
Green Planet™ is a 100% plant-derived biodegradable polymer developed by ワンダーカジノ. With its excellent biodegradability in a wide range of environments, Green Planet™ has been certified as biodegradable in seawater by “OK Biodegradable MARINE”*. As one of its environmental measures, Daiso Industries is actively expanding its selection of environmentally friendly products (ECO products). Green Planet™ was selected by Daiso Industries for its contributions to reducing marine pollution.

- Biodegrades at least 90% in seawater (30℃) within 6 months. The"OK Biodegradable MARINE"certificate was issued to Green Planet™（formerly called PHBH™）in September 2017 by Vincotte, an international certifying body headquartered in Belgium. TÜV AUSTRIA Belgium NV took over the certification work from Vincotte in December 2017.
